Who We Are
Created in 1978, Sobrais – Fábrica de Radiadores e Componentes Térmicos is a family-owned company with headquarters and manufacturing facilities in the industrial zone of Cantanhede, standing out for being the company with the most years of continuous activity in that location.
We are dedicated to the manufacture and reconstruction of water, oil and air radiators for vehicles of all types, heavy and agricultural machinery, generators and industrial equipment, exchangers and components for thermal transfer in general, specializing in copper as a raw material.
Equipping ourselves, from the beginning, with the most modern machinery of the time, throughout these 45 years we have maintained a focus on innovation, continually investing in the development of efficient and quality solutions.
This approach has taken advantage of the accumulated experience and strong specialization of our employees, allowing us to respond in a personalized way and adjusted to the needs of our customers.
In addition to being a continuously certified company since 2003, we are proud of the various distinctions received, such as PME Excelência and PME Líder, which reflect recognition of our efficient management, competitiveness and quality in the services provided.
In the area of circular economy, we achieved 90% autonomy in electrical energy through the installation of photovoltaic panels for self-consumption. At the same time, we are replacing our fleet with electric vehicles (EV) and plug-in hybrids (PHEV), also considering other solutions to optimize energy consumption.
Thanks to this set of specific factors, Sobrais is today recognized in the market for the excellence of its work.
As such, we have been gaining the trust of large reference companies, such as CP, Metro do Porto, EDA, EDP, Mota-Engil, Rodonorte, CIMPOR, MEGASA, Navigator, Radiadores Ordoñez, among many other large, medium and small clients. These customers, on a daily basis, represent our reason for existing, both in Portugal and in Spain, where we place 35% of our production.

SOBRAIS FOUNDATION
1978
On 04/29/1978, Sobrais was created with a share capital of 3.000 contos and made up of three partners.
CHANGES IN SOCIETY
1981
Sobrais' share capital is increased to 10.000 contos and a new partner joins: Henrique Sobral Simões.

1984
Sobrais' share capital is subject to an increase to 20.000 contos.

Sobrais' share capital is subject to an increase to 45.000 contos.

With the entry into force of the European currency Euro, Sobrais' share capital is subject to a change to €224,459.05.
